Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Court, Jackson County
Panama City, FL

AWARD AMOUNT:

$ 498,803*

PURPOSE: The Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Court will use grant funds to implement a post-adjudication adult drug court program. The goals of this drug court are to reduce recidivism in the community, provide timely court intervention, integrate treatment and probation services, and examine the cost-effectiveness of the program. This rural community plans to serve approximately 125 clients over the 3-year grant period. The program will include 12 months of treatment and a mandatory 6-month aftercare component. Upon completion of the program, clients may have their records sealed. The program consists of intensive judicial supervision, sanctions and incentives, and frequent, mandatory drug testing. The court will collaborate with Community Services Incorporated, Chipola Junior College, and the Marianna Housing Authority.
